It was an odd year 2007 when there was no snow in The Netherlands. It was month of December already and no sign or predication of snow this year. Many elderly people who are used to see white Christmas were little dispirited. Kids were missing the snow sledging and skiing. Cloudy gray sky was adding to the dullness.

And on a Saturday Morning all kids and elderly people were taken by surprise from mother Nature. Whole countryside was covered with white flakes and frost which turned the atmosphere to bright white and spirit to Joyful cheers.

Slightest sign of snow for a person from Tropical region is always a delight, while usually this "delight" surprises any elderly person who are used to white winter especially in Europe or USA. I have seen people from tropical region travelling specially to just see snow, running and  screaming out of excitement to see not even the snow but just frost looking white during the winter.

But this year was different I got to see both Tropical and European persons running with excitement with a hope to have one more white Christmas.

Duluth is fourth largest city of state Minnesota, USA situated in northern part of the state. This city is special due to home to harbor on bank of Great lake - Lake superior. City is home to Aquarium by same same name - Great Lakes Aquarium which showcases species from sweet water.

Duluth is situated around canal park which is a great visitor place and have lot of recreational activities going around it. Downtown Lakewalk running across the bank of the great lake is great fun for trolling or riding bikes. Few also prefer to visit lighthouse pier next to the canal. Lot of restaurants, kids parks is developed around to add to the recreation. Ship museum is also a great attraction to visit here.

Mythological Museum

Murudeshwar is a beautiful sea shore location surrounded with Grand Temple of Shiva and a small clean beach next to it with lot of water sport activities available. Adventure loving souls has lot of option here include boat rides to sea and scuba diving. Green spread of coconut tree opposite to temple makes this location picturesque.

Just beyond the temple in Temple campus there is a mythological museum depicting story of King Ravana and how the five atma linga including the Shiva linga of Gokarna came in to existence. The Video is an small effort to tell same story.

Have you heard of hot and cold water flowing naturally from same location hardly few feet apart! If no then you should visit the place called Lasundra. Just 65 km drive from Ahmedabad on Ahmedabad-Indore highway.

This place is a natural wonder where both hot and cold water springs are adjacent to each other and this is irrespective of any season. 

People with interest in geographic wonders and people with faith, both visit this place with equal enthusiasm.

ધાર્મિક વિશ્વાસ અને ભૌગોલિક અજાયબીઓમાં રસ ધરાવતા લોકો, બંને સમાન ઉત્સાહ સાથે આ સ્થળ મુલાકાત લે છે.

The Netherlands or Holland is small country in Europe. Its located at South of Denmark and North of Belgium, next to Sea Shore line at Eastern End of England. 

Holland is known for 3 things - 

1. Cheese and Milk Products
2. Water work across country
3. Tulips

Farms of Holland are key contributor to Milk Products and Tulips. Its really an experience to roam around country side of Holland Frams.

Fossil Park Entrance

Dinosaur Fossil Park - "The Jurassic Park of India" is situated near a remote village Raiyoli, 110 km east of Ahmadabad Airport, Gujarat. 

This location is believed as breeding ground of dinosaurs of Narmada Valley. Almost more than 13 species of dinosaurs lived here during time span of 100 million year ago to 66 million year ago when they got extincted. Almost more than 10000 eggs found from the location which makes the location the third largest hatchery of world. Lots of bones, skin remains, body parts and eggs are naturally got preserved by getting stone trapped. The stones were formed by lava due to volcano burst millions years ago.

The location came in to light accidentally in early nineties due to survey by Indian geological departments for the mineral rich place. Some large skeleton remains and eggs found from the location are now preserved in museum of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Around year 1998 AD more survey took place and more remains were identified at the location. A large area is now cordoned and preserved by government of India.

A big museum and a fossil park with different cottages is being taking shape. A prominent dinosaur tourism place is in making. Place is well connected with road and can be accessed by help of locals. Locations available on maps are approximate till date. A very interesting remote place for history and geology lovers.

ભારતના જુરાસિક પાર્ક તરીકે ઓળખાતો ડાયનોસોર અશ્મિ પાર્ક, અમદાવાદ એરપોર્ટ, ગુજરાતથી  110 કિમી પૂર્વે દૂરસ્થ ગામ રૈયોલી નજીક સ્થિત છે. નજીકના મોટા સ્થળ બાલાસિનોરથી આસરે 15 કિમી ઉત્તરમાં આવેલ આ સ્થાન વિશ્વની સૌથી મોટી ભૌગોલિક સંપતિ છે.

આ સ્થાનને ડાયનાસોર સંવર્ધન જમીન માનવામાં આવે છે. આશરે 10 કરોડથી  7 કરોડ વર્ષ વચ્ચે અને નામશેષ થયા પહેલા ડાયનાસોરની  લગભગ 13 કરતાં વધુ પ્રજાતિઓ અહીં રહેતી હતી. લગભગ 10000 કરતા વધારે મળેલા ઇંડા આ સ્થાનને વિશ્વની ત્રીજા નંબરની સૌથી મોટી હેચરી બનાવે છે. જ્વાળામુખીના લાવામાંથી બનેલ પથ્થરોમાં હજુય ઘણાય અશ્મી કુદરતી રીતે સચવાયેલ છે. 

Museum Premises

પ્રારંભિક નેવુંના દાયકામાં, આ ખનિજ સમૃદ્ધ સ્થાન ભારતીય ભૌગોલિક વિભાગ દ્વારા સર્વેક્ષણ કારણે  આકસ્મિક પ્રકાશમાં આવ્યું હતું. કેટલાક મોટા હાડપિંજર અશ્મી અને પ્રદેશથી મળી આવેલા ઇંડા હવે જયપુર, રાજસ્થાન , ભારતના  સંગ્રહાલયમાં સચવાયેલા હતા. વર્ષ 1998ની આસપાસ વધુ મોજણી થઈ હતી અને વધુ અવશેષો ઓળખી કાઢવામાં આવ્યા હતાં. આ વિશાળ વિસ્તાર હવે ઘેરી લઇ અને ભારત સરકાર દ્વારા આરક્ષિત કરવામાં આવેલ છે .

આ સ્થાને વિવિધ કોટેજો સાથે એક અશ્મિ પાર્ક અને એક વિશાળ મ્યુઝિયમ આકાર લઈ રહ્યા છે. ઇતિહાસ અને ભૂસ્તરશાસ્ત્ર પ્રેમીઓ માટે ખૂબ જ રસપ્રદ સ્થાન છે.

Horse Shoe Fall
(હોર્સ શૂ ધોધ)

Group of three waterfalls situated at Canada and USA border is known as Niagara Falls. Largest of three falls is known as Horse Shoe fall due to its shape. This fall is situated within Canada border.

American Fall is second largest of three, while third and smallest next to American Fall is known as Bridal's Veil Fall due to its shape. Beautiful civil structure, Rainbow bridge situated opposite to falls is connecting American and Canadian borders.

કેનેડા અને USAની સરહદ પર આવેલ નાયગરાના ધોધ વિશ્વના સૌથી વિશાળ ધોધમાં થી એક છે. ત્રણ અલગ અલગ ધોધ ના સમૂહ એવા નાયગરા ધોધ નાયગરા નદી ઉપરથી વહે છે. ત્રણેય ધોધમાં સૌથી મોટા ધોધને તેના ઘોડાની નાળ ના આકારને લીધે હોર્સ શૂ ધોધ તરીકે ઓળખવામાં આવે છે. હોર્સ શૂ ધોધ કેનેડા ની સરહદમાં આવેલ છે.

અમેરિકા (USA) ની સરહદમાં આવેલ બીજા ક્રમના મોટા ધોધ ને અમેરીકન ધોધ તરીકે ઓળખવામાં આવે છે. તેની બાજુમાં આવેલ સૌથી નાના ધોધને બ્રાઇડલ વેઇલ (નવવધૂનો ઘૂંઘટ) તરીકે ઓળખવામાં આવે છે.  

અમેરિકા અને કેનેડાની સરહદને જોડતો રેઈનબો બ્રીજ આ કુદરતી સૌન્દર્ય ધરાવતી જગ્યાની સુંદરતામાં ઓર વધારો કરે છે.

Badlands National Parks | બેડલેન્ડ્સ નેશનલ પાર્ક

Badlands National Park is situated in South Dakota state of USA. It is 242,756 acres of protected land. Its specialty is beautiful blend of sharply eroded spires and peaks made from volcano and grass prairies. Different layers of hill displays different colors on spires. Animals like Bison (American Buffalo) are largely seen in this area. Some part of the Badlands is sanctuary for black ferret, one of the most endangered species of northern american continent.

Driving through Badlands during dawn or dusk with inclined sunlight is a "life-time" experience. Many congratulations to local administration and management for identifying and acknowledging natures beauty and protecting-promoting this place as a travel destination.

બેડલેન્ડ્સ નેશનલ પાર્ક - એ USAના સાઉથ ડકોટા રાજ્યમાં આવેલ પ્રદેશ છે. 2,42,756 એકરના આ વિશાળ પ્રદેશને રાષ્ટ્રીય સંરક્ષણ પ્રાપ્ત છે. જ્વાળામુખીથી ઉદભવેલા અને તીક્ષ્ણ ઘસારો પામેલા શિખરો-કુંદો અને મોટા લીલા ઘાસનાં મેદાન નું સંમિશ્રણ આ પ્રદેશની વિશેષતા છે.

બાઇસન (અમેરિકન ભેંસ) જેવા પ્રાણી અહીં વિશાળ માત્રામાં જોવા મળે છે, જયારે બ્લેક ફેરેટ જેવી લુપ્ત થઇ રહેલ પ્રજાતિ માટેનું અભયારણ્ય પણ આ જ ક્ષેત્રમાં આવેલ છે.  

ઉગતા સૂર્યનાં  ઉષાકિરણમાં કે સાંજના સૂર્યની સંધ્યા વચ્ચે  આ પ્રદેશમાંથી પ્રવાસ કરવો એ જીવનનો ઉત્તમ લહાવો છે. પ્રકાશની ધૂપ-છાંવ બેડલેન્ડ્સનાં શિખરોમાં નવી-નવી ભાત ઉભી કરે છે.

કુદરતની આ વિશેષતાને ઓળખીને તેને સંરક્ષણ આપી પ્રવાસન યોગ્ય બનાવવા માટે સ્થાનીય પ્રશાસન અને વ્યવસ્થાને ધન્યવાદ આપવા ઘટે છે.
